HEH / International / Green Erasmus
The protection of the environment and the fight against global warming is a priority of the 2021-2027 Erasmus+ programme as well as the inclusion, digital transition and democratic participation.
The European Union has equipped itself with a strategy, the European Green Deal, to fight against global warming and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The Erasmus+ programme committed itself in a process of ecological transition in cooperation with the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
The Erasmus+ programme aims to reduce its own impact on the environment and to provide citizens the required aptitudes and skills to contribute to environmental sustainability.
The Green Erasmus platform has been developed to provide students tools and information to make their Erasmus experience sustainable. This platform will give them tips and recommendations to act in an environmentally-friendly manner before, during and after their mobility.
Sign here the Green Erasmus petition to ask European institutions to provide more funding for more sustainable mobilities.
