HEH / International / ERASMUS
HEH.be is a non-university higher education institution offering mainly practical trainings, three-year Bachelors or Masters leading to recognised professions such as primary school teachers, social workers, executive assistants, industrial engineers, youth workers, tour guides, event planners, etc.
Regarding international relations development, our institution leads a strategy that is part of a dynamic aiming to enable students to improve their training by following part of their course within similar institutions (Student mobility for studies - SMS) or to acquire additional professional skills (Student mobility for placements - SMP) by adding an international dimension. HEH.be makes every effort to enable students to meet trainers and students who will bring them a different perspective on the profession they are following.
At the same time, fully aware that questioning themselves is important to perfect their staff profile, authorities of HEH.be encourage the allocation of mobility grants along with experts' visits in order to improve their skills in a specific field, to share knowledge and to learn unknown aspects of training (Staff's teaching mobility - STA - and/or Staff's training mobility - STT).
This approach, aiming at widening the dimensions of a same profession is a selection criterion in the research of partnerships for academic and practice purposes. In addition, our auditors’ recommendations strengthen our process of internationalisation. Moreover, HEH.be does its best to facilitate combined mobilities – SMS and SMP – and thus to enable full-year student mobilities.
The European Commission issued the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) to HEH.be for the 2014-2020 period.
HEH.be holds the Erasmus Charter since 1988. This Charter enables the institution to organise and carry out mobilities in Europe.
Thus, student and staff exchanges are carried out with partner institutions (educational institutions and other organisations/companies) for academic and/or professional purposes.
