HEH / International / Outgoing / Mobility for placement
After graduation, the new graduate registers as a job seeker (if domiciled in Belgium and registered in the Belgian population department) at the relevant public employment centre (ACTIRIS, FOREM).
Afterwards, he or she introduces a request for assimilating the mobility period to the professional integration placement (12 months maximum) by using the appropriate form at the national employment office ONEM or a paying body (CAPAC, CGSLB, CSC or FGTB).
Under certain conditions, entitlement to family allowances can be kept during the professional integration placement (beware however of the amount of a potential compensation given by the host institution).
New graduates must be selected by their institution during their last year of studies and have to finish their internship abroad within the year following their graduation.
The National Agency points out to the beneficiary the evolving nature of current legislation.
This kind of mobility is valid and financed as much by national funds as European funds.
Documents to fill in are the same as those for outgoing student mobilities under the relevant mobility funding programme. Please visit the page “OUTGOING Student Mobility” (“International” tab > “International Mobility”).
