‘AND’ convergence

Important notice

To realize an ‘And’ convergence, it is imperative to insert synchronization steps in the structure of Grafcet and to associate an internal bit to them.

The receptivity associated with this convergence must mandatorily have the condition : the product of the internal bits associated to the steps.

This way of proceeding is not conform to the standard Grafcet, but it highlight the internal programming of an ‘And’ convergence.

The layout

Beware : the destination step must be located below the synchronization steps.

1. Indicate the ‘origins’ steps which are the synchronization steps.

2. Once that all the steps are indicated, click on the work area, the request of confirmation shown below will appear.

3. Select the destination step.

4. The ‘And’ convergence is drawn automatically.

Technical note

You will notice that the receptivity is correctly positioned indicating in overlay writing R1-3 and R2-3 and...  RX-3.

The software interprets this divergence as a series using the same condition for the different receptivities.
