Missions

The IT Commission is an internal body of HEH whose main mission is to advise authorities on IT stock management, projects of computer development and application management.

Without being exhaustive, the missions of the IT Commission are mainly:

• Giving an opinion to the Board of Directors on the allocation of IT and audiovisal annual budgets between the different departments of HEH when required;
• Preparing the launch of the annual public contract together with the accounting service of the university college;
• Ensuring a dialogue between the IT service of the institution and the computer engineers of each department, and taking the necessary measures to:
  • contribute to the development and performance of the network infrastructure of each HEH's department (network material, Wi-Fi infrastructure, Eduroam, network access contracts,...);
  • contribute to the development and performance of the computer applications of HEH (Moodle, mail server, library application, Hyperplanning, Gespers, private payment, access control,...);
  • develop and improve the security of HEH's infrastructures and computer applications;
  • ensure the implementation, maintenance and support of the servers hosted at HEH (backup,...);
  • ensure the maintenance of the computer material of HEH's administrative services;
  • ensure the maintenance of the computer material of HEH classes;
  • improve the communication tools available for HEH staff (Extranet, module for printing, module for mission, Hyperquest module,...).
• Ensuring a dialogue between the Communication service of HEH and the computer engineers in charge of the development and maintenance of the institution's website, and taking the necessary measures to:
  • implement and improve the institution's website (maintenance, design, content,...);
  • improve the website's visibility and ensure its search engine optimisation.
• Ensuring a dialogue between the Gestac referent and the IT service of HEH and taking the necessary measures to ensure an interface between Extranet's modules and the application of student academic management (Gestac).
