Organisation of work
The Decree of 5 August 1995 setting out the general organisation of higher education in university colleges specifies in Article 65 that university colleges of the French Community are managed by an Administration Board and have a Board of Directors, an Education Council as well as a Social Council.
The Board of Directors ensures the enforcement of the Administration Board's decisions, makes the decisions for which it has received delegations and exercises the power given to directors and deputy directors of higher education institutions.
The Decree of the French Community Government dated 27 August 1996 sets out in Section 3 (Articles 12 to 14) the competences of the Board of Directors. These are described here.
Composition
The composition of the Board of Directors of HEH is defined in Article 67 of the Decree of 5 August 1995 setting out the general organisation of higher education in university colleges.
