A few words from the Director-President of HEH

Since 1996, year of its creation, Haute École en Hainaut (HEH.be) is the only university college of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Enseignement network organising short-type and long-type courses in the Province of Hainaut.

The challenge we are facing every day is to offer a quality education provided by well-motivated teachers and promoting student success thanks to an individualised support throughout their training.

Given its institutions’ specific features and tradition, HEH.be works as a real social ladder within the whole province, as evidenced by generations of students who succeeded in their social, professional and family lives.

To achieve its goals, HEH.be offers its more than three thousand students a range of thirty-one Bachelor and Master study programmes spread across four departments in Mons and Tournai: the department of Legal, Economic and Management Sciences (Tournai), the department of Learning Sciences and Teaching (Mons and Tournai), the department of Sciences and Technologies (Mons) and the department of Social Sciences (Mons and Tournai).

HEH.be is part of the Pôle hainuyer academic centre, the higher Education hub in the province of Hainaut, and works together with the other higher education partner institutions of Hainaut in order to fulfil its tasks of teaching, research and services to society.

HEH.be being aware of the importance of international openness signed the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and is a beneficiary of the Erasmus+ European mobility programme. It can thus provide mobility grants to its students so that they can carry out an internship or part of their studies abroad.

HEH.be is attentive to an integrated and cross-disciplinary Quality approach, this is why it invested in the pilot phase of the institutional assessment carried out by the Agence pour l'Evaluation de la Qualité de l'Enseignement Supérieur. The institution welcomed the international expert committee on 11, 12 and 13 March 2020.

HEH.be supports and promotes several internal projects about sustainable development and follows an environmentally-friendly policy.
