Modelling the working of an operating sensor
Although manufacturers aim to design analogical probes and actuators working in a field which could be considered as linear, the physical principle of acquisition or restitution of a physical quantity can work according to non-linear mathematical laws.
ProcesSim uses a table of conversion to be filled. Four methods are proposed .You can :
fill manually the table ;
introduce the mathematical relation ;
draw the tendency curve ;
extrapolate one Bezier polynomial curve passing by various points.
Warning :
In the case of an input sensor, the table works from a physical quantity to an electrical value.
In the case of an output word, the table works from an electrical value to a physical quantity.
