Atelier 1 : Chimie-Biotechnique : « Les polymères : l’innovation au service de notre quotidien » - Anne-Sophie Deprez, Virginie Van Den Dries
La chimie macromoléculaire, née dans les années 1930, constitue un secteur innovateur et est continuellement en développement. Elle touche de nombreux domaines d’applications industrielles et ses perspectives d'avenir s'avèrent brillantes et multi-sectorielles.
Les matières polymères doivent leur essor à leur large gamme de caractéristiques. C’est la nature particulière de leurs molécules (liaisons en forme de chaînes) ainsi que la variété des modes d’assemblage qu’elles adoptent, qui est à l’origine de ces diversités et de ces spécificités.
Les macromolécules organiques résultent soit de processus biologiques ( protéines, polysacharrides, acides nucléiques, … ) ou soit sont obtenues à partir de réactions chimiques ( polymères synthétiques comme le PVC, le PET,… ).
Grâce à leurs propriétés écologiques, la création de nouveaux matériaux, tels les bioplastiques, suscitent évidemment des intérêts accrus dans les milieux industriels.
Afin de mieux comprendre les comportements de ces polymères, de nouvelles sciences appliquées, notamment parmi elles la biotechnologie, sont apparues récemment. Leur but est de mieux comprendre les processus biochimiques. Pour ce faire, il est fait appel à des techniques informatiques spécifiques présentes dans nos laboratoires. Lors de cet atelier, c'est ce monde fascinant des polymères organiques que nous ferons découvrir.
Atelier 2 : Physique : « Connecsons-nous, et on voix ça ! »- Stéphane Petö , Thierry Quévy
Nous n’avons jamais aussi mal communiqué depuis que nous disposons de moyens technologiques puissants pour échanger entre nous !
L’homme de Neandertal doit son extinction à la morphologie de sa cavité buccale et de sa mâchoire (une hypothèse) ; il était incapable d’émettre certains sons, contrairement à l’Homo Sapiens qui a su s’organiser en communiquant de manière plus diversifiée et plus évoluée…
Le son et les ondes sonores, la voix et de nombreux phénomènes sonores seront illustrés dans cet atelier afin de redonner sa place à ce qui n’était qu’un grognement préhistorique !
Atelier 3 : Electricité : « Tous connectés, mais comment ? » - Stéphanie Dupuis , David Arnaud

Atelier 4 : Construction : « Les connexions constructives » - Geoffroy Chardome, Mickaël Mercier
Dans le cadre de cet atelier, les étudiants découvrions les nouvelles méthodes de connexion dans le monde de la construction. Comment éviter que la chaleur ne puisse sortir du volume protégé et chauffé tout en s'assurant de la solidité de la construction. Différents tests (caméra thermique, isolation, essais de cisaillement, compression, etc.) permettront de mettre ces aspects technologiques souvent cachés en lumière.
Atelier 5 : Electronique : « Connectés et prêts à jouer » - Gaëtan Paulet
Atelier de questions-réponses sur le thème de l'informatique, d'internet et des réseaux. Chaque participant reçoit un module comprenant quatre boutons. Vingt questions vont s'afficher successivement à l'écran avec, pour chacune, quatre propositions de réponses. Les joueurs répondent en appuyant sur le bouton associé à la réponse de leur choix. Les modules sont tous connectés afin de recueillir les réponses des participants et de les afficher à l'écran. Celui qui a le plus de bonnes réponses au bout des 20 questions est le gagnant !

Le monde que nous connaissons est en train de subir de grandes métamorphoses. Les technologies et la science transforment nos vies à des vitesses parfois déroutantes. Utilisées avec intelligences ces innovations ouvrent les portes d'une nouvelle ère aux possibilités extraordinaires.
Les métiers qui résisteront seront ceux qui exigent une grande part de créativité et d'intelligence sociale, il faudra travailler en collaboration mais aussi avoir une grande technicité.
A l'heure des ordinateurs et des robots ou des drones et quand toutes les solutions d'hier sont dans des machines, si vous voulez avoir un métier, cela ne suffit plus de connaître les solutions d'hier mais inventer déjà celles du futur. Levons un coin du voile ce 24 mars ...
